The remains of Mr. IG Odunukwe a respected businessman who was reported to have been kidnapped on the 1st of December 2019 has been discovered.
Mr. Odunukwe was murdered by who he believed to be legitimate Estate buyers at the time.
According to Justin Kingland who narrated the most unfortunate tale,
He was lured by miscreants pretending to be buyers for the 900 million naira house he wanted to sell in Abuja.
Once they had him, they managed to drug him, strip him of all the original documents for the property and killed him immediately after.
The case would have gone unnoticed if not for the testimony of Mr. Odunukwes' cousin. A legal practitioner who he informed of the pending transaction.
The four murders as pictured below were caught trying to resell the house and Mr. Odunukwe was able to get justice as they were forced to retrieve his remains from where they buried him.
Unfortunately, this has not been the case for so many people.
There are multiple accounts of people being scammed and killed for their property by so-called business associates they trusted.
Although no one prays for the evil it is essential that safety precautions are taken when huge business deals are to be taken.

1. Inform somebody you trust about the transactions: This was a commendable feat by Mr. Odunukwe. If he did not inform his cousin on what was going on, his killers would have gone Scot free.

2. Conclude sensitive deals in a public place: Although the details are not quite clear on where the ghastly transaction took place, it is clear that Mr. Ogundukwe was in a very vulnerable situation. He could not have been strong enough to fight off four guys alone in an isolated area. It's good to be where people can easily raise an alarm when there are suspicious activities going on.
Offices, restaurants and open public spaces are more ideal for carrying out sensitive transactions.

3. In the case of a necessary meeting, go in a group: Mr. Ogundukwe's assailants knew to go in a group in order to carry out their evil plan. And this is very key especially for those whose jobs require that they be in vulnerable positions with clients.
It is important to have a group of staff or trusted friends/family accompany you when you have to either show clients an empty house or any such vulnerable space.
This story is a sad one however I hope these precautionary tips are helpful.
